Electrochemical Profiling of Plants

چکیده

The profiling, or fingerprinting, of distinct varieties the Plantae kingdom is based on bioactive ingredients, which are systematically segregated to perform their detailed analysis. secondary products portray a pivotal role in defining ecophysiology plant species. There crucial profiling domain understanding various features, characteristics, and conditions related plants. Advancements variable technologies have contributed development highly specific sensors for non-invasive detection molecules. Furthermore, many hyphenated techniques led integrated systems that allow multiplexed detection, such as high-performance liquid chromatography, gas etc., quite cumbersome un-economical. In contrast, electrochemical promising alternative capable performing precise recognition compounds due efficient signal transduction. However, few bottlenecks principles non-redox features minimal metabolites, area has not been explored. This review article provides an insight basis plants comparison with other traditional approaches necessary positive negative outlooks. Studies consisting idea merging fields limited; hence, relevant non-phytochemical reports included better broaden scope this work.

A Simple Electrochemical Method for the Rapid Estimation of Antioxidant Potentials of Some Selected Medicinal Plants

Clinical and Epidemiological studies have shown that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables is associated with a decreased risk of cardiovascular diseases, cancers and other related disorders. These beneficial health effects have been attributed in part to the presence of antioxidants in dietary plants. Therefore screening for antioxidant properties of plant extracts has been one of the inte...

Rapid electrochemical phenotypic profiling of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

Rapid phenotyping of bacteria to identify drug-resistant strains is an important capability for the treatment and management of infectious disease. At present, the rapid determination of antibiotic susceptibility is hindered by the requirement that, in existing devices, bacteria must be pre-cultured for 2-3 days to reach detectable levels. Here we report a novel electrochemical approach that ac...

DNA Profiling of Transgenes in Genetically Modified Plants

In silico sequence diversities of four orthologous plant gsh1 genes and their anino acid translates of GSH1 proteins (Glutathione Synthase) were compared to the non-orthologous prokaryotic gshI/GSHI gene/protein of E. coli (NCBI # X03954). Primer pair was designed and transgene detection was carried out in two types of gshI-transgenic poplar clones (Populus x canescens) of ggs11 (cyt-ECS) and l...

Activity profiling of papain-like cysteine proteases in plants.

Transcriptomic and proteomic technologies are generating a wealth of data that are frequently used by scientists to predict the function of proteins based on their expression or presence. However, activity of many proteins, such as transcription factors, kinases, and proteases, depends on posttranslational modifications that frequently are not detected by these technologies. Therefore, to monit...
